Jansen spent the first 12 years of his career with the Los Angeles Dodgers and the 2022 season with the Atlanta Braves before signing with the Red Sox ahead of the 2023 campaign.
The 38-year-old right-hander played two seasons in Boston and made his fourth (and most recent) All-Star team in 2023.
Jansen recorded 29 saves and a 2.59 ERA with the Los Angeles Angels in 2025 before signing with Detroit in December.
Like many of his Tigers teammates though, it's been a rough 2026 season for Jansen.
The Curacao native has earned seven saves this spring but also has a career-high 4.80 ERA across 15 innings pitched covering 18 games.
