What Juventus ultras told Locatelli as injured fan’s condition emerges

Sky Sport Italia confirms that Juventus ultras threatened they’d invade the field if the Turin Derby is played tonight, while according to reports in Italy, the fan hospitalised after clashes between ultras is not in a life-threatening condition.

Juventus and Torino ultras clashed outside the stadium hours before kick-off, and one Bianconeri supporter was hospitalised in a critical, but not life-threatening condition, according to Sky Sport and ANSA.

According to reports, the fan was taken by paramedics to the Mauriziano Hospital in critical condition (red code) due to a head injury.

According to Sky Sport, the fan was struck on the head by a flare launched by police to disperse the ultras who were clashing.

The other four games scheduled for Sunday evening have kicked off anyway, circa ten minutes behind schedule, after waiting for updates from Turin.

Sky Sport reiterates that Juventus ultras don’t want the derby to be played tonight and have repeatedly told their captain, Manuel Locatelli, that they’ll invade the pitch if the match goes ahead.

Torino ultras have taken down their banners, seemingly to show support for Juventus ultras.
