Muthoot Finance Strengthens Community Safety with Police Booth Inauguration at Alaknanda, New Delhi

Reinforcing its continued commitment towards community welfare and public safety, Muthoot Finance inaugurated a Police Booth at Alaknanda, New Delhi under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The initiative has been undertaken in collaboration with Delhi Police and Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) to further strengthen safety infrastructure and ensure enhanced security for residents of the locality.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Shri Alexander George Muthoot, Joint Managing Director of The Muthoot Group, and Mr. Somnath Pruthi ACP South Delhi in the presence of Mr. Rakesh Mehra GM CSR & Corporate Affairs – Muthoot Finance, Mr. Raja Imam Sr. AGM Public Relation Muthoot Finance, Mr. Anish Sharma SHO – CR Park Police Station, Mr. Pushkar Sinha COM-Unity, Mr. Sanjay Rana General Secretary of GKII RWA, senior RWA members, and other police officials.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Alexander George Muthoot highlighted the diverse CSR initiatives undertaken by Muthoot Finance across the country and reiterated that community welfare and social responsibility remain deeply embedded in the Company’s values and vision. He also spoke about the welfare programmes extended towards Police personnel and Armed Forces across India and appreciated the dedicated efforts of Delhi Police in ensuring the safety and security of society.

Over the years, Muthoot Finance has actively partnered with police departments, RWAs, NGOs, and community organisations across Delhi/NCR through several impactful initiatives. These include facilitating security cabins for RWAs in Greater Kailash for Delhi Police, supporting Than Singh Ki Pathshala with student friendly furniture and essential student welfare facilities, equipping CR Park Police Station with a Health ATM, senior citizen sitting area and children’s library, and installing interactive digital learning panels at Lajpat Nagar Police Station. The Company has also undertaken mega food drives, winter clothing distribution programmes, health camps for police personnel, infrastructure support for Amar Colony Police Station, and extensive relief activities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Extending its CSR vision beyond Delhi/NCR, Muthoot Finance has supported several welfare initiatives for police personnel, armed forces, and underserved communities across India. Some of the major initiatives include the establishment of the M. G. George Muthoot Learning Centre in Arunachal Pradesh with Helping Hands NGO, the inauguration of Radio Parvaaz Centre at District Jail Meerut with India Vision Foundation, the setting up of a COVID Care Hospital in Kanpur for police personnel and their families, smart libraries at correctional facilities, technology support to police stations in Mumbai and Nagpur, welfare support to Mumbai Police personnel, and sustainability initiatives for the Indian Army in Jodhpur through mobile sanitation facilities and solar panel trolleys.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Pushkar Sinha, COM-Unity expressed gratitude to Muthoot Finance and Shri Alexander George Muthoot on behalf of 16 RWAs for extending meaningful support towards strengthening safety infrastructure in the Alaknanda locality.

Mr. Somnath Pruthi, ACP South, appreciated the proactive efforts of Muthoot Finance in supporting community-centric initiatives and acknowledged the growing partnership between Muthoot Finance, RWAs, and Delhi Police towards ensuring the welfare and safety of citizens.

On the occasion, a special booklet showcasing the CSR initiatives undertaken by the Company for Police Departments and Armed Forces was also released. The first copy of the booklet was presented to Mr. Somnath Pruthi, ACP South, and subsequently distributed among representatives of various RWAs and police officials present during the programme.

This collaborative initiative with Delhi Police is expected to significantly enhance the safety and security of thousands of residents residing in and around the Alaknanda locality, further reflecting Muthoot Finance’s unwavering commitment towards community development and social responsibility.
