Spartans star PG Jeremy Fears Jr. left off latest Yahoo! Sports NBA Mock Draft
· Yahoo Sports
There has been some recent chatter and concern that Michigan State star point guard Jeremy Fears Jr. will remain in the NBA Draft and not return for another season with the Spartans. But one NBA Draft analyst thinks that would be a bad decision.

Kevin O'Connor Yahoo! Sports released an updated mock NBA Draft following the combine this past week, and he is apparently not high on Fears. O'Connor didn't have Fears included in his two round mock draft, which would suggest he doesn't envision him getting selected should he keep his name in the draft.
Fears had a breakout season in 2025-26, averaging 15.2 points and 9.4 assists per game. He earned multiple All-American honors and will surely be considered in the mix for preseason Big Ten Player of the Year next season (should he return to college).
Fears was considered a standout by some during the NBA Combine last week and some believe he has raised his draft stock. That has created some concern and fear (no pun intended) among the Spartans fanbase on a possible departure.
Fears will have until next week to decide if he's going to remain in the NBA Draft or return for another season with the Spartans. If he returns, Michigan State will enter next season as one of the favorites to win the national championship. If he leaves, then there will be a lot of questions surrounding the Spartans heading into the summer.
