Pep Guardiola provides an answer on his future of today’s FA Cup final
· Yahoo Sports
Yesterday saw Pep Guardiola say that today’s FA Cup final between Manchester City and Chelsea will not be his final trip as City manager to Wembley. However, Pep Guardiola’s answer to the question of whether this would be his final trip to Wembley was said in a jovial manner. It now seems that Guardiola has provided what could be considered a more definitive answer to the questions that surround his future in an interview with the BBC. What is apparent is that Pep Guardiola is sticking to the line that he has a contract for next season with Manchester City and it is beginning to feel like Manchester City will enter the 2026-27 season with Guardiola as manager.

Can Guardiola say any more to suggest that he will be Manchester City manager next season?
Pep Guardiola has once again pointed out to BBC Sport that he is contracted to be Manchester City manager for next season. However, the standout feature of that interview is when Guardiola answers yes to the question of whether he will be City manager next season. That was my biggest takeaway from the clip that BBC Sport has released. I cannot see how Pep Guardiola’s answer can be taken any other way. Pep Guardiola’s frustration about being asked about his future is also evident in the BBC clip, so perhaps a more definitive answer as to whether or not Guardiola will be at Manchester City next season is coming.
Having said that, does Pep Guardiola need to provide one? He’s contracted for next season, as he has stated on multiple occasions. If he isn’t leaving Manchester City, Guardiola can just continue his work, and the status quo remains. The only statement that Guardiola will need to make is if he is leaving Manchester City at the end of this season. Based on his interview today, it does seem that Pep Guardiola will remain as City manager for next season.
