Five Peoria Christian seniors honored at sports signing ceremony Tuesday

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) — Five Peoria Christian seniors were honored Tuesday at a signing ceremony at the school.

The quintet heading off to compete in college includes the school’s first Division I competitive cheerleader. Daisy Shouse is headed to the University Kentucky with a DI cheer scholarship.

“I’m super excited to cheer at games, of course,” said Shouse. “Hopefully I’ll compete with them. And be a part of that family and legacy.”

Also honored at the ceremony, soccer standout Colson Below who is headed to the University of Missouri-St. Louis, multi-sport athlete Trae Brickner who is headed to the Cedarville University track program, Mia Brinson who will play volleyball at St. Ambrose University and Drew Gama who will play golf at St. Thomas University in Miami.
