Pistons' lead shredded by Donovan Mitchell in Game 4, Cavs tie series

CLEVELAND – The Detroit Pistons got hit by a Cavalanche on Monday night.
Donovan Mitchell ignited a 24-0 Cleveland Cavaliers run, including the first 22 points of the third quarter, and the Cavs scorched the Pistons in Game 4, 112-103, at Rocket Arena to tie the best-of-seven series at 2-2 in the second round.

Mitchell finished with 43 points, an NBA record-tying 39 in the second half, after going 1-for-8 in the first half for four points. James Harden added 24 points and 11 assists, and Evan Mobley complied 17 points, eight rebounds, five assists, five blocks and three steals.
Game 5 is Wednesday night at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, where the Pistons won the first two games by 10 points each. The Cavs are 0-5 on the road this postseason. Game 6 will be Friday night in Cleveland.
Caris LeVert scored 17 of his 24 points in the first half, when the Pistons took a 56-52 lead into halftime. The Pistons had 16 turnovers, with five from Cade Cunningham, and four each from Ausar Thompson and Jalen Duren.
Cunningham finished 7-for-16 for 19 points. Tobias Harris' streak of eight consecutive games with at least 20 points ended after he finished with 16 on 6-for-17 shooting, 0-for-8 in the second half.
The Cavs scored the final two points of the first half, then the first 22 of the third quarter, with Mitchell scoring 15 of those to turn a 56-50 deficit into a 74-56 advantage, before a Paul Reed drive and dunk ended the run at 5:57 of the third quarter.
Reed scored 13 points in the third on six shots, all makes, to help the Pistons stay attached, down 90-77 after losing the quarter, 38-21, with Mitchell scoring 21 on 8-for-9 shooting.
