Ahead of crucial games in the final stretch of the season, Doncic has suffered a significant setback. But one person does not seem to care for the player’s issues.

Ric Flair shows “no sympathy” for Luka Doncic

Doncic has missed playoff games for the Lakers due to a Grade 2 left hamstring strain. Despite his absence, the team managed to advance past the first round. He suffered the injury on April 2, 2026, against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He was initially expected to recover after an eight-week period.

He has already begun running but has still not been cleared for full contact. The Slovenian has said that he is progressing in his recovery and could be back soon, but will miss Game 4 of the second-round series against the Thunder. The Thunder are already 3-0 up and could clinch the series when they face each other on May 12, 2026.

However, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair had other words for the NBA star. He believes that Doncic should play regardless of his injury. In an interview with Darius Miles and Brian Scalabrine on Yahoo Sports Daily, he said, “I've taken a cortisone shot and wrestled with a broken ankle, so I don't have much sympathy for the hamstring. But you know, I know that they protect their future, and I don't blame them for that. They got guaranteed money.”

His comments were not taken kindly by many fans, who criticized him for his words. Many felt that his take was not correct and professional.
