Mahatransco PR Department Receives ISO Recognition

The Public Relations Department of the Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (Mahatransco) has been awarded the prestigious ISO (International Organization for Standardization) certification for its outstanding performance and innovative communication practices. The achievement marks a significant milestone, making Mahatransco’s Public Relations Department the first in Maharashtra to receive ISO recognition in the field of public relations.
The accomplishment was achieved under the visionary leadership of Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of Mahatransco, and the guidance of Suchita Bhikane, Additional Collector and Executive Director (Human Resources).

Over the years, Mahatransco’s PR Department has introduced several innovative initiatives by effectively leveraging digital media platforms. Its in-house magazine, Mahatransco Samachar, has been widely appreciated for integrating QR codes, podcasts, and modern digital communication tools, setting new benchmarks in public outreach and information dissemination.
The department has also earned recognition for its impactful awareness campaigns and proactive media engagement. Notably, the PR Department has won a record 15 awards in the field of public relations, further strengthening Mahatransco’s reputation as a progressive and people-centric organization.
The ISO certification was formally handed over by Auditor Shri. Vijaykumar Swami to Smt. Suchita Bhikane in the presence of General Manager (HR) Raju Gaikwad, Public Relations Officer Dr. Milind Awatade, and PR Department representative Shrikant Jadhav.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar credited the entire PR team for the achievement and praised their creativity, adaptability, and commitment to excellence. He highlighted the department’s effective use of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Telegram, and Threads in presenting Mahatransco’s initiatives positively before the public.
