Man accused of indecent act involving child in Brampton; luring charges laid in other case

Peel Regional Police are appealing for other possible victims as part of an indecent act investigation involving a child at a Brampton recreational facility.
Cops said that on April 26 at about 3:15 p.m., a child was using a changeroom at a facility in the Dixie Rd.-Balmoral Dr. area when they were approached by an unknown male who attempted to communicate with and lure them into a stall.

Police said the child immediately fled and returned to their parent. A short time later, the same male suspect was allegedly observed outside the facility exposing himself.
On Monday, police charged Patrick Rabideau‑Blackadder, 40, of Brampton, with invitation to sexual touching, criminal harassment, mischief and committing an indecent act.

MIDLAND MAN CHARGED WITH CHILD LURING
Peel Regional Police have charged a 35-year-old Midland man in connection with an alleged case of online child luring.
Cops said they began an investigation in February into an unknown individual who was allegedly using social media platforms to lure youths under the age of 16 for a sexual purpose.
The user was allegedly found to be operating multiple social media accounts under the personas Maverick, Yxaikir, Ace.wilde, AceryZero and MaveryZero.
On March 16, Stanley Marion was arrested and charged with two counts of luring a child under the age of 16 and luring a child under the age of 18.
Investigators believe that the accused may have contacted additional victims online and the investigation remains active.

DOWNTOWN SEX ASSAULT BEING PROBED
Toronto Police are requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a sexual assault investigation.
On Tuesday around 5:37 p.m., police cops responded to a call for a sexual assault in the Yonge and College Sts. area.
The victim was inside a retail store when the suspect approached and allegedly sexually assaulted them before fleeing.
The male suspect is about 5-foot-8 with short brown hair. He was wearing sunglasses, a blue sweater with grey sleeves, grey shorts, black and white shoes, a black T-shirt with Creemore Springs Brewery logo on the front and he was carrying a black backpack.

COPS MAKE ILLICIT CANNABIS BUST
York Regional Police have charged two family members in connection with an illicit online cannabis distribution network allegedly operating within the region.
On Monday, cops received information that youths had accessed an online cannabis distribution website and that at least two had become ill after consuming products.
Investigators reviewed the website and found cannabis products allegedly being advertised in packaging that contravened the Cannabis Act. The website was also allegedly operating without a licence authorizing them to sell cannabis, that the cannabis was unregulated and that the operator of the website was not confirming the identity or age of customers purchasing the products.
On Wednesday, two suspects were charged and search warrants were executed at residences in Vaughan and Brampton and on a vehicle allegedly used to distribute cannabis products. Officers also seized illicit cannabis products and proceeds of crime.
Artin Dawood, 30, of Vaughan, has been charged with possession for the purpose of distribution, distributing illicit cannabis, dangerous driving and stunt driving
Talia Dawood, 59, of Brampton has been charged with possession for the purpose of distribution.
Police confirmed the accused are related, but wouldn’t say how.
