F1 drivers standings post 2026 Miami Grand Prix

The 2026 Miami Grand Prix changed the shape of the Formula 1 title fight.

Kimi Antonelli delivered another huge statement with victory around the Hard Rock Stadium. The Mercedes rookie held off both McLaren drivers in a tense race and extended his championship lead. It was his second win in three races after taking the top spot in Japan.

That result has given Antonelli 100 points after just four rounds. He now leads Mercedes teammate George Russell by 20 points. It is a strong position this early in the season.

Charles Leclerc looked set to limit the damage, but a late spin and a 20-second post-race penalty dropped him further back. That cost him valuable points.

Lance Stroll is still waiting to score his first points of the 2026 season. The Miami race did not bring any improvement, and Aston Martin continues to struggle with performance. As the races go by, the pressure is increasing on both the driver and the team to deliver better results.

Nico Hulkenberg has not been able to break into the points yet this season. Audi has found it tough to compete in the midfield battle. Both the driver and team will be looking for a fresh start soon.

Alex Albon finally got his first point of the season with a 10th-place finish in Miami. It may be a small result, but it should give him and the team some confidence going forward.

Arvid Lindblad also missed out on points in Miami. He stays tied on four points with Hadjar and Sainz. The midfield competition is very close, and every race matters.

11. Franco Colapinto (Alpine) – 7 Points

Franco Colapinto had a strong race in Miami, finishing eighth. That result helped him move up to seven points and was one of the few positives for Alpine.

Liam Lawson’s race in Miami ended early after he was involved in an incident that led to Pierre Gasly’s dramatic crash. Even with that retirement, he remains 10th in the standings with 10 points.
