Fischer, the No. 5 prospect in the organization according to MLB Pipeline, has five home runs in six games and a .945 OPS.
Wisconsin surrendered two runs in the top of the 10th to the Quad City Bandits, but Josh Adamczewski (No. 10 prospect) got a run back with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th. After Marco Dinges (No. 9 prospect) was hit with a pitch, Fischer put a high outside fastball from pitcher L.P. Langevin over the wall in center at Fox Cities Stadium.
It had been a rough night for Fischer, who struck out four times before igniting the game-clinching celebration.
It served as another showcase for highly intriguing pitcher Braylon Owens, who worked six innings of relief and allowed just one earned run on two hits, with three walks and 11 strikeouts. Owens, a 10th rounder in the same draft as Fischer, allowed just one hit and no runs over five innings April 24 in his last outing, with six strikeouts.
