Leslie Williams who penned a book about commitment and marriage, is accused of having multiple wives.

The 62-year-old was arrested on April 22 an outstanding warrant out of Rockdale, Ga., related to a bigamy charge, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. He was cuffed at The Villages, a retirement community that spans Sumter, Marion, and Lake counties in Florida.

Williams is being held without bond because of his status as an out-of-state fugitive, arrest records show.

Alleged bigamy reported to police

The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office noted marriage records from Florida confirmed that Williams “was still lawfully married at the time of the subsequent marriage.”

“Based on these records, a warrant was obtained for Leslie Williams for the charge of bigamy,” the sheriff’s office told Fox News .

Concerns were raised when someone reported the alleged bigamy to the Haines City Police Department in Florida, Fox News reported. The case was then transferred to the state of Georgia after Williams’ last marriage was certified in Rockdale County, Ga.

Wrote book aimed at husbands

Williams’ Facebook page said he is a pastor of the LW Ministries and also a board-certified Christian counsellor.

In 2017, he published a book, “Live Her Like This: Loving Her Has Never Been Deeper,” which is aimed at men and discusses common issues that arise in marriage that may potentially destroy the relationship. A book synopsis noted Williams challenges men to “love deeper than ever before, by making plain the meaning of commitment,” per People .

The man’s Facebook page also noted he had been married for years, going back as far as 2018. However, a picture posted in December 2025 seemingly hinted at a new marriage to a woman named Cindi, Fox News reported.

Things then may have soured months later as his Facebook relationship status was changed from “married” to “single.”
