New Steelers WR shares surprising connection with Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers may not currently be on the Pittsburgh Steelers roster, but one of the team's newest wide receivers shares one similarity with the future Hall of Fame quarterback.
Courtesy of Pittsburgh sports writer Amanda Godsey bringing the surprising detail to light, Rodgers and the Steelers' 2026 second-round rookie wide receiver Germie Bernard share a birthday on December 2, with Rodgers being born in 1983 compared to Bernard's 2003.

As the NFL world awaits Rodgers' decision, the Steelers added a plethora of offensive talent to their roster via the 2026 NFL Draft, including Bernard, offensive tackle Max Iheanachor, and offensive guard Gennings Dunker.
Bernard, who was selected with the No. 47 overall pick after the Steelers traded up with the Indianapolis Colts, is uniquely versatile in that he can line up out wide, in the slot, or even out of the backfield. And you guessed it, he's drawn plenty of Deebo Samuel comparisons.
Hopefully, the Rodgers-Bernard connection will be more than just a shared birthday, and the two can create one of the most devastating veteran quarterback-rookie wide receiver combinations in 2026.
