Girl, 6, dead after fall from North York apartment building

Toronto Police are investigating the death of a young girl who they say fell from an apartment building in North York late Sunday.
Police said in a tweet early Monday that the incident happened around 8:15 p.m. in the Chalkfarm Dr. and Jane St. area, north of Wilson Ave.

Officers were “called to an unknown trouble in the area” and received “reports of someone falling from an apartment building.”
Police found a 6-year-old girl who they say “had fallen from a bedroom window.”
Investigators “remain on scene pending an autopsy report.”
