The Seattle Seahawks spent Day 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft focusing on the secondary. Coby Bryant and Riq Woolen both departed for new teams in free agency, and the Seahawks used their second- and third-round picks accordingly. They took TCU safety Bud Clark at 64, then traded down a few spots with the Pittsburgh Steelers at 99 and landed Arkansas cornerback Julian Neal.

While Neal may not have the accolades at Arkansas that Clark had at TCU, he’s still a tantalizing cornerback prospect with good physical traits that are befitting of many Seahawks CBs from yesteryear. He’s 6’1 and 203 lbs with arm length north of 32 inches, which was once practically a strict threshold to be a Seahawks boundary corner.

Neal does not fill up the box score with interceptions (four total between his time at Fresno State and Arkansas), but against SEC competition he racked up 12 passes defensed and showcased a physical style of play against the pass and the run.
