There's no denying that the Los Angeles Dodgers are a team full of stars. From Shohei Ohtani to Freddie Freeman, they have the star power that other teams just cannot afford.

And while that is a big reason for their success, it's not the entire reason. Lesser-known players have been known to step up and shine just like the stars around them.

That has been the case this season with Andy Pages. After a disappointing showing at the plate in the postseason last year, he is making up for it early this season.

While he finished the regular season with a .272 batting average, the baseball looks like a beachball to him this year. Across 25 games, he is hitting an NL-leading .337 average with a .388 OBP and .551 slugging percentage.

He is the best hitter on the Dodgers, which is saying a lot for a lineup that consists of Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Freeman, and Teoscar Hernandez.

With this in mind, Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter tags him as one of the biggest surprises so far this season.

"He has been the Dodgers' best hitter, which is no small feat given some of the other names penciled onto that lineup card. Following a brutal 2025 postseason where he hit .078/.113/.098 with one RBI in 55 plate appearances, he has rebounded in spectacular fashion to open up the 2026 campaign. With a staggering spike in his hard-hit rate from 37.2 to 58.2 percent, he's not just riding a hot streak, he's an improved hitter."

Retuer explains this is not just a matter of a player heating up. Pages has really looked the part, barreling up baseball at an insane clip. If he can keep this up, it's going to be a nightmare for the rest of the teams.
