According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, star wide receiver A.J. Brown is not expected to show up for the start of the Eagles’ voluntary offseason program on Monday, with trade talks between Philadelphia and New England anticipated to take place before June 1.
The Patriots have been involved in trade rumors with Brown since the Eagles made the three-time second-team All-Pro wide receiver available on the trade block this offseason. New England is once again in the mix to trade for Brown, with negotiations between the Patriots and the Eagles expected to escalate later this spring.
Brown went for 1,003 receiving yards, as well as seven touchdowns, last season for the Eagles. The Mississippi native recorded his sixth season with 1,000 yards in 2025. Brown, 28, approaches his eighth season in the NFL in 2026.
