Former Notre Dame F Garrett Sundra has made his transfer decision
· Yahoo Sports
It was a bit of a surprise when sophomore forward Garrett Sundra joined his other teammates in leaving Notre Dame’s basketball program.
What was a surprise was where he ended up, after a sophomore year that saw his playing almost double from his freshman campaign. With so many others leaving it looked like he have more opportunities but on Wednesday the Virginia native committed to James Madison.

The Dukes are a decent program, it just seemed like he was leaving to play for a team that is the same caliber as the Irish. Neither team made the NCAA Tournament this past season, but JMU did have a winning record at 18-15.
Sundra might want to be the focal point of a team, and he’ll have an opportunity to do that as the Dukes lost their top-three scorers from this past season. Hopefully this move works out well for him, as he should see more playing time for James Madison.
