The newest guy to the MLB roster is Angel Chivilli.
The Yanks announced the call-up on Wednesday:
Prior to tonight’s game, the Yankees recalled RHP Angel Chivilli (#57) from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Chivilli does have two seasons of MLB action under his belt, both with the Colorado Rockies. Those didn't go great, a 6.18 ERA.
He has pitched in five games so far this season at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and has yet to allow a run while striking out nine batters in 8.1 innings pitched.
Chivilli does have intriguing stuff. During his 2025 MLB action, he averaged 97.1 miles per hour on his fastball, and he ranked in the 80th-percentile in MLB with a 29.7% whiff rate.

He threw his four-seam fastball 45.9% of the time in 2025, followed by his changeup (36.6%) and slider (17.5%).
His changeup has a 27.7-inch vertical drop, so that's a fascinating pitch if Chivilli can harness it to work with his heater.
It appears he's off to a great start at Triple-A this season, so he'll bring an in-rhythm arm to the major leagues.
If Chivilli gets into a game, it'll be his Yankees debut.
