The New York Jets are continuing to explore ways to upgrade their offense, and outside of getting better at the quarterback position with Geno Smith and potentially doing more in the 2026 NFL Draft, New York could certainly improve its wide receiver room.

Dontayvion Wicks of the Green Bay Packers is someone the Jets have shown interest in. It remains uncertain what level of interest the Jets really have in him, but they've called the Packers to at least get a feel for where his market stands.

“Teams have been calling the #Packers about WR Dontayvion Wicks again,” Butler posted on X. “Some teams include the Bills, Raiders, Dolphins and Jets. Several others are calling, but these 4 have been the most prominent.”

For the Jets, this kind of move would be about adding another piece who can get open and make plays for them.

Throughout the past few years, that has been a significant issue for the Jets outside of Garrett Wilson.

When Wilson was out last season, the Jets' offense was just brutal to watch, and even when he was healthy and on the field, it wasn't exactly great. No fault of his, but just what the Jets had on offense.

New York doesn't necessarily need a superstar wide receiver, but it could use somebody like the 24-year-old who can come in and get the job done when healthy.
