Breaking: Kirk Cousins reportedly agreeing to sign with Raiders

· Yahoo Sports

Kirk Cousins has reportedly agreed to sign a contract with the Las Vegas Raiders, his agent announced on Thursday.

Less than a month after being released by the Atlanta Falcons, the terms of the deal are not immediately known. Cousins will join a Raiders team that is expected to select Indiana Hoosiers quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the first pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons had a bit of a sour relationship from the start due to the team selecting Michael Penix Jr. in the NFL Draft just six weeks after signing Cousins to a $180 million deal to be the starter in Atlanta.

It was a move that never sat right with Cousins, as he would eventually lose his starting job to Penix Jr.

We will soon find out if there will be a quarterback competition in Las Vegas, or if the team would rather have Mendoza sit behind Cousins for a year or two to learn the NFL ropes. Cousins still believes he can be a starter in this league and contribute immediately.
