Who would you pick to start for the Three Lions?
Their friendly against Japan on Tuesday is the final game before Thomas Tuchel names his World Cup squad at the end of May - so chances to impress are almost over.
BBC Sport asked some of their journalists to name their starting XI - and want you to make your selection too.
John Murray - BBC Radio 5 Live senior commentator
[BBC]In the autumn matches, Tuchel found the blend he was looking for and, were the tournament kicking off tomorrow, I think he would be basing his starting line-up on those who delivered for him in those deciding qualifiers.
The most obvious big call there is Morgan Rogers instead of Jude Bellingham and come the summer it may very well be the Real Madrid man in the team instead.
Noni Madueke and Marcus Rashford will be the main challengers in the wide positions, but Bukayo Saka and Anthony Gordon were most often first choice there in the autumn.
Despite his injury problems, John Stones had started England's last four internationals and if he is fit Stones will be in the team. If he's not it will most likely be Ezri Konsa.
And while Tino Livramento, Lewis Hall and possibly Trent Alexander-Arnold will be the main alternatives in the full-back positions, it is Reece James and Nico O'Reilly who look to be the men in possession.
Ian Dennis - BBC Radio 5 Live senior football reporter
[BBC]There needs to be an asterisk with both Reece James and John Stones regarding their fitness. I admire Stones so much as a person that I hope he gets enough football and game time to trust his body with the various injury problems he has had to contend with. He's a quality player and Thomas Tuchel will give him every chance if he thinks he can play a part. With a squad of 26 you can afford to gamble with one player and Stones is worth the gamble.
The fight to play in the number 10 position between Morgan Rogers and Jude Bellingham is going to be fascinating. Tuchel likes Rogers and he was extremely impressive when he started all four games during September and October.
I'm told that in the warm-weather training Anthony Gordon and Jude Bellingham had identical running stats and I wonder if Tuchel is considering where to utilise Bellingham.
At some stage, where the heat will be a factor, I could envisage Harry Kane playing around an hour and Bellingham coming on to replace him. If England are to be successful then the focus can't just be about the 11 who start, but who can make the impact off the bench. Bellingham provides Tuchel with that option either as a 10 or in a more advanced role.
Sami Mokbel - BBC Sport senior football correspondent
[BBC]I've selected this team on the presumption that they are all fit and niggle-free going into the tournament.
Whether Reece James, John Stones and Tino Livramento are fit enough to play every four days is a big presumption, of course.
But this team can go toe-to-toe with any side on the planet.
Kelly Somers - BBC Sport England reporter
[BBC]I'm convinced Thomas Tuchel pretty much knows his eleven - and the way this squad is split tells us even more.
The main question mark for me is who starts as the 10 - I struggle to comprehend an England side without Jude Bellingham in it if fit, but clearly Tuchel likes Morgan Rogers after a brilliant season.
However, with Aston Villa not quite in the form they were and Bellingham back in action for Real Madrid, he may still yet force Tuchel to rethink.
In midfield, Declan Rice and Elliot Anderson are two of the first names on the team sheet - Anderson's emergence this season could be the difference between success and failure this summer and is a player I genuinely think Gareth Southgate would have loved to have had.
I do think there is time for the two either side of Harry Kane to change, though right now an on-song Bukayo Saka has to start, and Anthony Gordon's numbers are hard to ignore.
Defensively, Lewis Hall's form means for me he's the current standout choice at left-back, and at centre-back if John Stones hadn't had such an injury-ravaged season I'd have loved to have him and his experience alongside Manchester City team-mate Marc Guehi.
Let's also hope Reece James is fully fit by the time 17 June comes around too - it would have been interesting to have seen Trent Alexander-Arnold in this squad too, just to give us a different option from full-back.
A notable mention also for Nico O'Reilly who's missing mainly because I'm not sure where he'd play - though performances like in the Carabao Cup final will only enhance his chances of forcing his way in.
Phil McNulty - BBC Sport chief football writer
[BBC]Tough choices here and so much depends on fitness. John Stones remains England's classiest and most experienced defender, but will he be available? Ezri Konsa would be my obvious choice if not.
England's left-back has become a conundrum with Arsenal's Myles Lewis-Skelly off the radar. Newcastle United pair Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento would be in the squad, but Manchester City's gifted Nico O'Reilly gets my vote.
And then the big one. Who plays at 10 in this system?
Jude Bellingham's class and experience at the highest level shaped my pick, but I would have no arguments with Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers. I thought of putting Rogers on the left instead of Anthony Gordon, but I'm wary of slightly square pegs in round holes at a World Cup.
Alex Howell - BBC Sport England reporter
[BBC]The positions that I think are up for grabs are left-back, centre-back, the number 10 role and left-winger.
Ezri Konsa has started six of England's qualifiers and I think is nailed on to start at centre-back.
Marcus Rashford, Eberechi Eze and Anthony Gordon have started on the left wing in the last three England games and Gordon featured in England's most impressive win under Tuchel, 5-0 in Serbia.
However, if Jude Bellingham is fit and playing well for Real Madrid, for me he has to start for England.
Morgan Rogers is a huge favourite of Tuchel's and has played off the left wing for Aston Villa.
So although England teams in the past have got into trouble moving players around to accommodate individuals, I would start with Rogers wide, with Bellingham inside the Villa forward.
Tino Livramento would have been my choice as left-back if he hadn't missed the last international camps. But Nico O'Reilly has taken the position after becoming a regular starter at Manchester City so he is my full-back for this team.
