Jack Stretton's goal in Truro City's 1-1 draw with Solihull Moors has been described as one of the best at the club's new ground.

The striker's excellent overhead kick in windy conditions opened the scoring 11 minutes into the second half of Wednesday's National League game.

The visitors equalised with 12 minutes left as bottom-of-the-table Truro avoided defeat for a second successive game.

"It's a fantastic goal," assistant manager Stewart Yetton told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"He's got that in him. He plays on the shoulder and he's always thinking of goals.

"Saturday, he was good, he had a few chances and then tonight he scored an absolutely unbelievable goal.

"That'll probably get on the highlight reel in a lot of places I would imagine.

"It's probably one of the best goals we've had here, at the new ground especially, so all credit to him and hopefully we'll see even more of that over the coming games to the end of the season and into next season."

The draw left Truro 11 points from safety with six games and 18 points to play for as their slim hopes of survival continue to slip away.

But Yetton says the Tinners will not give up as they head into the final month of the season.

"It's a tall order, but you just keep fighting, don't you?" he added. "We went into today's game believing we could win.

"We've come up a little bit short, but we'll go into Saturday's game believing the same.

"You just never know, if one win can turn into two, and we can go from there, so we'll keep fighting to the very end."
