Lima Senior to celebrate basketball team ahead of semi-final game

LIMA — To celebrate the Lima Senior Spartans boys basketball team reaching the state tournament, the team will open its practice to the public at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 19 in the main gymnasium at the high school, 1 Spartan Way, Lima. A community pep rally will follow the practice at 5 p.m.

Supporters are invited to send off the team to Dayton at 10 a.m. Friday, March 20. Participants are asked to meet in the east side parking lot by the activities entrance. The team is expected to leave with a police escort by 10:30 a.m.
The school’s athletic department is offering a charter bus for adult fans traveling to the semi-final game Saturday. The cost is $15 and does not include a game ticket, which must be purchased separately online at bit.ly/40CMoQ1. Bus passes can be purchased at the athletic office. The bus will leave the east parking lot at 10:45 a.m. Saturday.
