The news was previously reported by multiple outlets, including ESPN.
Miller has a $9.9 million buyout, but it could be negotiated down, according to 247Sports.com.
Miller, 43, went 18-15 this season and lost to UCF, 66-65, in the Big 12 Tournament on Wednesday. He did not lead the Bearcats to the NCAA Tournament during his tenure.
He went 100-74 in five seasons at the schools, 41-51 in league play, the last three of which were in the Big 12.
Miller was just 1-4 against crosstown rival Xavier during his tenure. This year the Bearcats also lost to Eastern Michigan, Georgia and Clemson in the non-conference.
Cincinnati is the latest high-major job to open, following Syracuse, Providence, Boston College, Arizona State, Georgia Tech and Kansas State, which on Friday named former Belmont coach Casey Alexander its new coach.
