Titans agree to terms with Bengals G Cordell Volson

We're just over six hours into the legal tampering period in 2026, and several NFL teams are not messing around. There has been a flurry of moves announced, and the Tennessee Titans have brought in several really good free agents to bolster both sides of the ball. They'll continue to add players as they have more cap space than any other team, and the most recent player they're bringing in is Cinicnnati Bengals guard Cordell Volson.

One of the team's clear focuses this offseason is to strengthen the offensive line, and bringing in Volson is a solid step in the right direction. He played four seasons with the Bengals after they drafted him in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He didn't see any field time in 2025, though, as he was on injured reserve after undergoing season-ending right-shoulder surgery.

During his rookie season, Volson won the starting position over Jackson Carman and logged more snaps than any other Bengals player in 2022. His shoulder surgery was done in August, so he should be ready to hit the field and win another starting job by the time players report for the season. Another layer of protection for Cam Ward certainly can't hurt.
