Vitor Matos has declined to comment on Paul Heckingbottom's suggestion that Swansea City's players' tunnel smelled of cannabis during Tuesday's draw with Preston North End.

Rapper Snoop Dogg was at the Swansea.com Stadium in midweek to watch the Swans in the flesh for the first time since becoming a co-owner of the Welsh club last July.

When asked after the game whether the presence of the American superstar had given the fixture an unusual feel, Preston manager Heckingbottom said his side "only realised something was different" because of the "smell of weed in the tunnel".

Swansea have not responded to Heckingbottom's comments.

But when asked whether he had a view in a press conference on Thursday, Matos said: "No, nothing special to comment on what Paul said.

"The only thing to say is that their chairman was probably happy as well taking selfies with Snoop. So I have nothing to say about that, so all good."

Though Matos used the word "chairman", it is understood he was referring to Preston chief executive Peter Ridsdale, a former chairman of Cardiff City.

Snoop Dogg paraded around the pitch before kick-off as his hits played on Swansea's sound system.

He waved a Snoop and Swansea-branded towel above his head while the capacity crowd did the same and chanted "Snoop Dogg's barmy army".

The 54-year-old, who was joined in Wales by a sizeable entourage, watched the first half of the game from the directors' box and the second half from a lounge in the stadium.

He then went into the home dressing room after the 1-1 draw.

Matos says the involvement of Snoop Dogg, alongside fellow celebrity co-owners Luka Modric and Martha Stewart, shows Swansea are "trying to do something different" and "trying to grow".

"There's noise, there's more cameras as well, but that's part of it and we need to know how to handle with that and we need to know how to stay stable," Matos added.

"There's a lot of things you can gain with it regarding the visibility, the fans, the name for the city, the name for the club, everywhere in the world.

"Our focus, in terms of manager and players, is just on the games and on performance."
